CLEARSTEADEXTERIOR CARE Prepare quote brief

Residential window cleaning mapped across the whole home

Count elevations rather than guessing from the front. Rear extensions, side access, conservatories, roof windows, frames and household routines all belong in the first conversation.

Method fit

Map glazing by elevation, height and opening style

A useful home brief identifies ground-floor, upper, recessed and roof-level glazing separately. Include doors, bay windows, French doors and small side panes only when they are part of the requested scope.

  • Count front, rear and side elevations.
  • Mark roof windows, dormers and glazing above extensions.
  • Note leaded, film-covered, damaged or unusual panes.

Before cleaning

Let ground conditions and obstacles shape the access plan

HSE advises assessing height, access, location, weather, surface, ground conditions and tools. A locked passage, sloping garden, conservatory or overhead cable can change which windows are reasonably reachable.

  • Photograph access routes without showing personal details.
  • Mention gates, steps, extensions and soft ground.
  • Leave equipment and reach decisions to the provider.

Household plan

Protect the property

Prepare pets, windows, garden items and household access

Open windows, insecure vents, pets in gardens, toys and fragile pots can interrupt or complicate cleaning. Agree arrival access and what needs moving without publishing alarm, key or occupancy information.

  • Close windows and flag known leaks or damaged seals.
  • Plan secure pet access during the work.
  • Keep keys, codes and personal routines out of this demo.

Scope and handover

List glass, frames, sills and conservatory sections separately

Domestic window-cleaning expectations vary. Confirm external or internal faces, frame fronts, sills, doors, screens and conservatory glazing, and identify any panes the provider cannot reasonably include.

  • Separate external and internal cleaning.
  • Agree whether frames, sills and doors are included.
  • Record inaccessible or excluded windows at handover.

Questions

Useful answers before the next step

Do I need to be at home?

No rule is claimed. Access, pets, locked gates, internal work and payment arrangements belong with the real operator and should be confirmed without sharing sensitive details through this demo.

Are conservatory windows included?

Not automatically. Side glazing and roof panels should be listed separately because access, material and method may differ.

Can windows above an extension be reached?

That depends on height, angle, ground conditions and equipment. A competent provider should assess reach and may exclude glazing that cannot be accessed suitably.

Will old water marks disappear?

No result is guaranteed. Mineral deposits, scratched glass, failed seals and marks between panes may not be resolved by routine cleaning.

Does this page promise that the method is suitable?

No. Material, condition, access, drainage and adjacent property need a real assessment. The page helps organise that conversation; it does not replace it.

Can I receive a live quote from Clearstead?

Not from this demonstration. The quote builder creates a browser-only summary and sends nothing. Pricing, service area and availability remain unconfirmed until a real operator is connected.
